Sweater Weather at Home

Oh yes, it is fall on the East End. The days are crisp and nights are cool, everything is pumpkin-this and apple-that, and the leaves are changing color before they drop. As we inch closer to winter, we're ready to get comfy and cozy. Refresh and warm up your interior spaces with must-haves that will make staying home your favorite thing on your fall to-do list.

Warming things up
The hues that come to mind with the North Fork and Hamptons aesthetic is often lighter, beachy blues, subdued greens, and neutral tones of beige and cream to complement our natural backdrop. Invite fall into your home by using warmer colors like burgundy, burnt orange, rust, and darker shades of those natural tones like navy, moss, and chocolate brown. Intricately designed patchwork quilts are a simple way to incorporate these shades and add interest quickly to your living room and bedroom. Our Indian hand-embroidered silk patchwork quilts add an extra layer of coziness thanks to their heavier weight. Pull your space together with an area rug in your favorite autumn hue.

Pillows, pillows, pillows
Can you have too many throw pillows? No, no you can't. Avoid overwhelming your surface area by bringing in lush pillows made of soft, inviting fabrics. We can't get enough fur, like our natural Mongolian lamb fur pillow. You can mix up your fall palette by pairing this pillow in ivory with the African mudcloth throw pillow in rust. Mixing warm colors and textures will certainly make for a couch you won't to leave. Especially if you've cozied up beneath the ultra luxe Mongolian cashmere sheep fur throw.

Changing your accents
Want to bring fall into your home while also reducing your impact on the environment? Get a pumpkin you can reuse year after year. There are all sorts of scary facts about pumpkin waste surrounding Halloween (we'll spare you the details for today) and we all know how North Fork traffic leaves us feeling defeated. Our carved wood pumpkins and and handmade velvet pumpkins add sophistication to your home. The velvet ones in particular are made in a small studio in Wisconsin. These make for a beautiful fall addition you can feel good about.
