The linings are made from upcycled jaspe ("haspeh"), a traditional textile woven on a pedal loom that includes intricate patterns of different colors centered around one primary color. The lining fabric & tassel are selected with care by ixöq.

Designed by ixöq and handmade, by our partner artisans in Guatemala using threads of recycled plastic, these cesta totes are modeled on the traditional market bags you see throughout Latin American with the extra bonus of a removable lining. They are perfect as a purse, a market tote, a carry-on, for the office, the gym, basically anywhere that you'd like an attractive and sturdy carry-all bag. They are very durable and easy to wipe down/clean and the linings are machine washable.
